About me

I obtained a PhD in Meteorology from the University of Reading, UK in 1994. My thesis was entitled “Interannual variability of the Earth’s radiation budget and cloudiness: a satellite view” and was supervised by Prof. Keith Shine. I then spent just over two years as a post-doc at LMD in Paris before returning to the UK and joining the Met Office in July 1997. Since 2005 I have led the Climate Sensitivity and Feedbacks group, which is part of the Met Office Hadley Centre.
